I have done it, no kidding. And yes!! Earth is not flat.
The world is a mysterious place, and in a void, this big, not having theories that would spew murmurs and leave people baffled would be so monotonous. Naively, that is not the case as we have so many conspiracy theories to discuss, believe and/or laugh at.
Here is a list of conspiracy theories that would motivate you to spare a thought about the world we reside in.
1. John F Kennedy’s Assassination
Source
John F Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963, with a bullet shot to the head, followed by the arrest of alleged shooter Lee Harvey Oswald. However, less than 48 hours later, Lee was shot by Jack Ruby while being taken to jail. Later, Ruby died of lung cancer before his second trial could begin, and all this build-up alarmed an unsolved conspiracy theory.
The theory is that Lyndon Johnson (sworn in as the President on the same day that John F Kennedy was shot) actually ducked as his motorcade – that was behind JFK motorcade – turned towards the Texas School Books Depository, from where the shot to assassin JFK was taken. So, was Johnson aware of the whole plan?
2. Was Moon Landing Fake?
Source
On July 20, 1969, the world witnessed the first human stepping on the moon. And today, even 50 years later, conspiracy theorists believe that the event never took place. Conspiracy theorists claim that the event was a plot by America to beat Russia when it came to be the first country to land on the moon. To add weight to their statement, theorists claim that the technological advancement required to pull off a landing was not present with the USA in 1969.
Further – Why there are no stars in the photos of the moonwalkers? Why the U.S. flag is fluttering? Why are there footprints but no prints from the lunar modules from the landers? – are several questions that form doubts among people about the landing.

3. AIDS Was Manufactured By The USA?
Source
Conspiracy theorists claim that the CIA was responsible for the outbreak of AIDS in 1981 in an attempt to wipe out homosexuals and African Americans. Even the South African President Thabo Mbeki once puffed the theory, accusing the U.S. government of manufacturing the disease in military labs.
Others insist that the government intentionally injected gay men with the virus during 1978 hepatitis-B experiments in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Did all this actually happen? We have no clue, and that is what makes it one of the top conspiracy theories.
4. The Holocaust Never Happened?
Source
Though historical evidence indicates otherwise, conspiracy theorists believe that the Holocaust (destruction or slaughter on a mass scale) during World War II wasn’t something that Nazis did. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, for one, called the Holocaust a “myth”. He cited starvation and diseases as the reason behind Jews’ death in prison camps.
Attorney Edgar J. Steele, a revisionist, says, “All those pictures of skinny people and bodies stacked like cordwood were actually of Czechs and Poles and Germans [who] died of typhus, which was rampant in the camps.”
5. Paul McCartney Is Dead?
Source
When Queen Elizabeth knighted the Beatles bassist, Paul McCartney in 1997, was she knighting someone else? Well, as per the conspiracy theories, a big YES!! As per the theory, Paul died in 1966 and was replaced by a person who looks and sings like him. This was an attempt to ensure the band doesn’t fall apart.
However, guilt eventually got the Beatles and they began hiding references to Paul’s death in their music. For example, it is a firm belief that Abbey Road cover portrays a funeral parade and the fact that McCartney is barefoot means he is the corpse.
6. Denver Airport Home To Evil
Source
Imagine you board a flight from Denver airport and land on a mysterious island that devil walks? Well, as per the conspiracy it is certainly possible. Just like every other person, evil also needs a place where it can just relax, and as per humans, Denver International Airport is that certain place.
The Denver airport greets you with a horse with glowing eyes and a statue of Anubis, the God of death. Handily, there are cryptic signs all over the airport to inform travelers of the evilness they are traversing into. Can it get any creepier?
7. Was Shakespeare a Fake?
Source
A group of scholars believes that the plays and sonnets of Shakespeare weren’t written by him but someone who couldn’t use their name, in fear of ruining their reputation. Authors, namely, Joseph Hart and Delia Bacon wrote that there was a group of writers who were tasked by Sir Francis Bacon and Sir Walter Raleigh to write plays for Shakespeare.
Moreover, many believe that the play, Anonymous, attributed to Shakespeare was actually written by Edward de Vere as the play has references form his life and a writing style that portrays Edward as the author.
8. Existence Of Illuminati
Source
It is a firm belief among people that a secretive few rules the world we exist in. And these few operate under the banner of so-called Secret Society aka Illuminati. The section alleged of puppet-ing historical events originated in the 18th century to replace superstitious beliefs, religious influence and abuse of state powers. However, the group was banned in 1784. But are the members of the group still lurking and controlling governments and corporations as people say?
People pay heed to Illuminati secrets because Bible has certain ‘end times prophecies’ which suggest things like one-world government, a one-world monetary system and a one-world religion, all of which are the motives of the Illuminati.
9. Chemtrails And A Bizarre Theory
Source
Another bizarre theory that exists today says that the trails you spot in the sky behind planes are actually “Chemtrails”. People believe that chemtrails are a kind of chemical that the government sprays from the sky to control the world population.
As per experts, trails are just “contrails,” – a blend of plane’s vapor and low temperatures at night altitudes. However, that information is not enough for people who think otherwise of the same and brew their own concepts about it.
